Children in Need:

We had great fun at school on Friday 17th November, raising money for Children in need.

Some of the activities included decorating biscuits, a cake sale, filling a large Pudsey face with spare change and a whole school assembly which we got to have a bit of a boogey in!

Check out the Pudsey photo below:

Peer mentors:

This week we had a visit from Ali Brown. She is the Community Engagement Officer for The Newark Family of Schools.

Ali came to talk to us about being Peer Mentors and what the role involves. A lot of us were extremely interested in the role and have taken home an application pack ready to be interviewed for the positions.

We are excited about how we will be able to help and support John Hunt Primary School and make it an even better place than it already is!

Don't forget to return your application forms to school as soon as possible, the latest date for you to return them is 24th November ready for the interviews which will take place on 29th November.

Good luck everyone!

Homework challenge

Archie was one of the first children from Year 5 to complete one of the creative homework challenges. He designed a very interesting, thoughtful and fantastic time capsule from WW1. We loved hearing about it in Year 5. Keep up the good work guys :)
