The plan for the afternoons this week is to have some Easter fun. Speaking in class last week, a lot of you seemed unfamiliar with the Easter story so hopefully by the end of this week you will have learnt a lot more about it!
Monday 29th March
Read the Easter PowerPoint to find out more about the Easter story. Complete the comic strip which will tell the Easter story through pictures/captions (choose which level you think you are working at). If you don’t have a printer, draw out the boxes on a sheet of paper.
This week, we should have started our own Easter Egg designs for the school competition. You can still take part from home. Simply do your Easter egg design on the template provided or just draw out an egg shape on a piece of paper.
Tuesday 30th March
Complete the Easter SPAG activity booklet and then have a go at the Easter crossword.
Wednesday 31st March
St Giles Church have asked for our help again! They would like you to decorate a pebble in an Easter theme. Your parent / carer can then take the pebble to the church. If you don’t want to do that, you can keep it yourself! Have a look at some of the ideas or you might come up with a better idea yourself!
We are also asking you to take part in our egg-citing Y5 Easter competition – you need to hard boil an egg and then decorate it in whichever theme you like (here’s some ideas to get you started). The winning egg will get a prize when we come back to school! Let’s get cracking – we can’t wait to see your egg-cellent finished entries! Don’t forget to take a picture and send it in to the usual email address – email@example.com
Thursday 1st April
This afternoon, if you are able to you can do some baking – Easter nests are always yummy or you might want to make hot cross buns. Try to weigh out the ingredients, follow the recipe etc on your own.
There is also an Easter activity booklet which you can do.
