Barn Owls – Y4

Welcome to Barn Owl class

There are 20 owltastic children in Barn Owl class. Mrs Glass is our class teacher. Keep an eye on the web site for all of the exciting things we have in store!

Year 4 is an exciting one and have lots of fantastic experiences and topics planned throughout the year. To help your child have a deeper understanding and to help make their learning more purposeful and enjoyable we would be grateful if you could assist them with any homework that has been set.

A quick reminder about reading. You all have your reading books and diaries now, so make sure you read every night and get your diaries signed by an adult.

(It would be great to get 100% Fab4 too!)

Remember books can only be changed on Monday and Thursday.

Please make sure PE kits are in school all week!

PE kit should consist of black shorts, white t-shirt and plimsolls or trainers, and black jogging bottoms for outdoor PE.

Meet the Teacher

Due to these strange times, unfortunately there won't be any face to face meetings this term. If you do wish to speak to any of us in more detail, we are happy to give you a ring or you can book a meeting at the school office

Please don't hesitate to contact us by e mail.

Welcome to Potions Class

Our topic this half term is Potions. We will be studying a number of texts including extracts from Harry Potter, Macbeth and Alice in Wonderland as well as making our own potent potions! Listed below you will find a quick slide show of the Potions Classroom and a list of ingredients that would be handy to have at home.

Hi Barn Owls,

Well, we find ourselves working from home again. Over the next six weeks we will be setting your lessons remotely and you will find all of the lessons, Power Points and sheets on our home learning pages.

Stay safe

Home Learning Resources 23.11.20 ( Week 1)

Hi Barn Owls,

I hope that you are all staying safe and well and have everything you need for the next 2 weeks of self isolation - I'm missing you all already.

Below are all the things you will need to carry on with this week's learning. There's lots to do! Don't worry about printing things out if you don't have the sheet in your pack - you can do all the work in your red books.

I can't wait to see your work this week. Don't forget to send photos and emails and keep in touch. We are all here for you if you get stuck with anything - just send an email.

Keep an eye on this page towards the end of the week for Week 2.

Take care - see you in two weeks.

Love Mrs G xx

Meet the bloodthirsty Vikings from Scandinavia - never before had such terror swept the land.

Are you ready to shine a light on the dangerous and deadly Dark Ages? ….

OUR NEW CLASS - It's nearly ready!!

AUTUMN TERM - BURPS BOTTOMS AND BILE

Open wide - let's take a look inside. We're on a voyage of discovery to investigate the busy world inside your body. Do you have a toothy grin or a winning smile? Take dental impressions and test the effects of sugary substances on your pearly whites. Follow a tasty morsel as it makes its way through your digestive system, helped by some mouthwatering saliva. And don’t forget the importance of good hygiene at both ends. And whilst we’re talking business, could you recognise an animal just by its poo? Are you brave enough to take the challenge? Make a working model of the digestive system and use it to persuade others to eat healthily. Learn how to look after this marvellous belching, squelching, mixture making machine we call our body.
