This week is Children's Mental Health week and this years theme is express yourself!
Expressing yourself is about finding ways to share feelings, thoughts, or ideas, through creativity. This could be through art, music, writing and poetry, dance and drama, photography and film, and doing activities that make you feel good.
It’s important to remember that being able to express yourself is not about being the best at something or putting on a performance for others. It is about finding a way to show who you are, and how you see the world, that can help you feel good about yourself.
For Children's Mental Health Week 2021 we are encouraging you to explore the different ways we can express ourselves, and the creative ways that we can share our feelings, our thoughts and our ideas.
You will find two PDFS below with lots of activities on what you can do to 'Express yourself'. Please take the time out of your week to do some of these activities because it is so important that you look after yourself especially during this time. I'm going to be checking with you on Thursday that you've done something to express yourself!!
I'd recommend you watch this assembly, click on the image below and it should take you the link to watch the assembly. It launches tomorrow at 9am but it will be available after that time too:
