Eagles - Yr 2

Welcome to Year 2 Eagles Class with Mr Betts, Mrs Allsopp and Mrs O'Brien

We had such fun when Barry from Zoolab came to visit us! He brought along Steve the scorpion, Deirdre the Giant African land snail, Carla the hissing cockroach, Max the millipede and even a snake called Sophie! We had the chance to touch or even hold all of the animals (apart from Steve!) We'll remember today for a long time! Well done everyone for being brave and facing fears too!

Zoolab visit!

Circus Day was such fun! We all had time in the Big Top watching a fantastic show. We also had time to learn all about the different jobs in the circus and how important teamwork, resilience and effort is!

We learnt lots of different skills such as plate spinning, walking on stilts and hula hooping.

What a great day we had, making lots of fun memories!

Muck, Mess and Mixtures

We are enjoying our Spring 2 topic where we are getting engrossed in the world of Roald Dahl's George's Marvellous Medicine! We are learning all about different food - what is healthy for is and what is not so healthy! We are also getting messy with various potions and creations.

Please remember PE kits on Thursdays. You also need to bring in outdoor PE kit, including trainers and jogging bottoms.

Thank you for your continued support. Feel free to pop in if you have any queries.

Today the Year 2s had a fantastic time cooking and tasting beans! The children worked so well as a team and enjoyed their little D&T food project!

Year 2 busy playing 'shopkeepers' this week. They were buying items and then working out how much change they would need.

Our current topic is Street Detectives - we will learn about life in Balderton and compare how the neighbourhood has changed over the years. We will also be suggesting improvements to the area and even trying to sell houses!
