Thursday and Friday
By the end of Friday you will have produced an information booklet about Chinese New Year. Spend your time on Thursday, reading the information PowerPoint about Chinese New Year. If you want you could also have a 'Google' to see what other information you could find out. Then select three different sections to write about e.g. China, When is Chinese New Year?, Traditions, New Year's Day. On a piece of paper make some notes under each of your three heading. Remember, notes are not full sentences! On Friday you need to turn your notes into short paragraphs of writing. Try really hard to join your sentences using connectives such as 'and'. There is a booklet template below if you wish to use it. It contains a cover and three pages with space for a paragraph of writing and a picture. If you don't have a printer simply fold a piece of paper in half and draw some lines with a ruler.
