We are the hedgehogs; the littlest and liveliest children at John Hunt Primary School!
Our teacher is Miss Laskey and our teaching assistant is Mrs Bruce. We have 22 little hedgehogs to welcome this September... some will be staying all day (8:30am-3:30pm), others we will see in either the morning (8:30-11:30am) or the afternoon (12:30-3:30pm).
Each child is special to us and we endeavour to give them the best start to school life, here in Foundation 1! We enjoy creating a happy, safe and stimulating environment where they will flourish and be the best they can be.
Whatever it is, we enjoy rolling up our sleeves and getting stuck in! You may find us jumping in muddy puddles in our wellies, baking tasty treats, counting conkers we have gathered or writing letters in glitter with our paintbrushes! We love offering unique and wonderful learning opportunities that children are excited to tell you all about when they go home!
Please come and speak to us if you have any questions or concerns (end of the session is ideal unless it can’t wait) or feel free to drop me an email at email@example.com and I will get back to you ASAP.
We follow the Early Years Curriculum at John Hunt Primary School.
This is made up of the Prime Areas and the Specific Areas.
Communication & Language
Personal, Social & Emotional Development
Understanding the World
Expressive Arts & Design
Please find our curriculum plan for the year below! Each week will have a story at the heart of it; we will provide a range of exciting learning opportunities centred around each book and its characters, to stimulate imagination, curiosity and a love for learning.
During the Autumn Term, 0ur primary focus will be settling in, exploring the environment, making friends and learning all about ourselves and each other. Alongside this, we will be exploring the topics `Woodland Wonder` and `Warm & Cosy,` offering opportunities for our own Autumn adventures! You may find us busy making hedgehog dens, baking Gruffalo crumble or off on a bear hunt! Prepare for lots of FUN!!
