Lesson 2

Viking beliefs.

The Vikings worshipped lots of different Gods and Goddesses. Their religion was an important part of everyday life.

They believed the Gods lived in a place called Asgard.

Each God had its own personality and was responsible for a different thing, like war, travel or home.

Watch the clips and read the PowerPoints to learn about the different Gods/ Goddesses.

  • Focus on one God and record your ideas.
  • You need to create a fact file about your chosen God. It could be a leaflet, a poster, an information text or a Top Trumps style card. Don’t forget to include a detailed image of your God.
  • For an extra task, you could design your own Viking God.  What would they be responsible for? What would be their symbol?

We look forward to seeing your ideas! Have fun!
