Maths

Welcome to another week of Maths. I hope that you are ready to learn about length throughout the week. If you have a ruler at home you can use it this week, but the activities don't require you to have one.

Once you have completed the activities for the week make sure to send me your work on year2@johnhunt.notts.sch.uk

Introduction to Length

Clicking on the image of the ruler will take you directly to the BBC Bitesize website where you can learn all about length and height.

Monday

Read through the PowerPoint and then explain to a grown up the meaning of the key words e.g. equal, longer, shorter.

Now, read through the information on the following PowerPoint about how to use a ruler. If you have a ruler at home then you could practice measuring the length of different items. If you don't have a ruler you could play the game below and practice your measuring skills.

Once you feel confident with length, watch the following video and play some of the different games.
