During this half term,

In English:

We will be looking at The Tale of Peter Rabbit, Rabbits, Adventure Story Writing and Spring and Easter!

Some of our activities will be:

  • Make stick puppets
  • Sequence the story
  • Write some descriptive sentences about rabbits
  • Research on the internet using laptops
  • Complete Fact files
  • We are going to write about the adventures of Flopsy
  • Go on a spring hunt
  • Plant some seeds
  • Easter activities and lots more smiley

Learning Objectives

§ recall and use multiplication and division facts for the 2, 5 and 10 multiplication tables, including recognising odd and even numbers § calculate mathematical statements for multiplication and division within the multiplication tables and write them using the multiplication (×), division (÷) and equals (=) signs § show that multiplication of two numbers can be done in any order (commutative) and division of one number by another cannot § solve problems involving multiplication and division, using materials, arrays, repeated addition, mental methods, and multiplication and division facts, including problems in contexts.


Over the next few weeks we will be finding out all about Penguins and reading the book 'The Runaway Iceburg'. I wonder what this book might be about? We will then be completing tasks around this book - fact files, lists, story maps and the life cycles of penguins.

In my ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) role I will work with lots of children 1:1 .Covering topics such as emotions, bereavement, separation, self esteem, anger, anxiety . Referrals are done and sent to me by your child's class teachers. If you feel that your child might benefit from some 1:1 support please see your child's teacher.
