The 18th May marks International Museum. The art work for this week is slightly different and gives you more freedom to choose what you want to do. There are different virtual museum tours that you could do online. Click on the image below to take a virtual tour of the National Gallery in London. You can click on the arrows to move around the gallery and click on a painting to focus on it. From there you can zoom in for a better view!
Have a look around the galleries and choose a painting to recreate. Think about how you could recreate it, what you might need to use? You might want choose to recreate yours as the original artist did, or you might choose to add your own twist in! But it must represent the original painting!
Once you have recreated this painting, think about how you could recreate it in a different way. If you painted it at first, perhaps you could use different materials this time, such as crayons, chalk, collage, mosaic or maybe you could recreate it digitally!
Continuing with the museum and gallery theme, we would like you to create your own home gallery! You can choose what your gallery will show, it might be a collection of your favourite art work that you have done or it could be a collection of memories from your time in lockdown. You could create your own images or add some printed ones in as well. You should consider how you want to display your collection, whether you have a big board you could display some on, or use a hallway in your house, or somewhere in your bedroom! However you choose to create your gallery, we would like you to create a video tour, showing us all of your collection, with some explanation!

In History this week, we would like you to research the artist that painted the artwork you have chosen to recreate. When were they born? Where did they live? What was their childhood like? How did they become a famous artists? There are so many questions you might have about that artist!
Create a timeline to show that artist's life. It could be a simple timeline, or packed with detail. Some things you could include on your timeline are:
Birth and Death
When they painted some of their most famous paintings
Other jobs they may have had
Below are some examples to inspire you, but you can present this however you like!
For Geography this week, I would like you to have a look at some famous museums around the world. I am going to attach a blank world map for you to complete the work on. If you do not have a printer than just bullet point the work on some paper!
1. Research some famous museums from all around the world.
2. Locate them on a map- you might need to use Google Maps or something similar to help you find where they are. Once you have located them, plot them onto your map.
3. Write down the name of the Museum, the city and the country that it is in.
4. Draw that country's flag.
5. Challenge: pick one of the cities and research all about it. What is the city famous for? What is there? What can you do if you visit? Are there any rivers? Are there any famous landmarks there? What language do they speak? What currency do they use?
Once you have finished, send your work in to us via email!

We have now looked at 4 different Life Cycles and compared them. Plants are also living things that can reproduce. This week we would like you research the Life Cycle of a plant, will all plants be the same? Just as we have done each week, we would like you to create a poster about a plant's life cycle.
Once you have done this, we would like you to think about Pollination:
1) Draw and label an accurate image of flower; labeling all the parts that are important for pollination. You might even want to sit in the garden to draw a flower you can see!
2) Create a poster that explain the process of Pollination - is Pollination always the same? Or are there different type of Pollination
